"Quench" is definitely an improvement over "Qpsmtpd", except for searchability. It's true that "quench" isn't a very common word, but it would be better to have a name that's not an existing word at all, so that search results will be more relevant (that's one problem with Microsoft products, like Word, Outlook, and Access).
That said, I don't have any great ideas. You could just spell it differently: "Quentch"? "Qwench"? Or maybe something derived from "Qpsmtpd": "Qupiess"? "Qupius"? "Qupeism"? Hmm, maybe not.

What was the "P" for? perl? Queue Perl Daemon? Drop smtp and that's "qpd".
qpsmtpd project actually appears as the third entry in msn beta search for "qpd" http://beta.search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=qpd
quad-double numbers http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~yozo/ "qd" a C++ lib but evidently not a package in linux distros. ("qd" isn't a package name in debian redhat suse et al) and you don't run a lib(it's in /usr/lib not in PATH=/bin:) so there's no path collision for "qd".
