I successfully installed qmail-1.03+patches-18 +
supervise-scripts + relay-ctrl + ucspi-tcp/unix +
vmailmgr from Bruce Guenter's RPM sources. And
also oMail-admin and oWebMail from Olivier
Mueller.
The purpose of the mail server is to host only
virtual domains mailboxes, for the exception of
the mail server's local mail.
Everything used to work really fine until I
rebooted the server three days ago. Now, wherever
the mail comes from and whatever the domain,
though the mail is delivered (sometimes twice),
qmail goes into a loop which generates about 40
error messages.
I think the qmail processes were running with a
configuration different from that of the control
files, because I left it in this state after
finishing its configuration, and I might have
made a last modification without HUPing the
process.
Also, the reason why I rebooted the server was
because I migrated the DNS to bind 9.1.3 on other
hosts. And wanted to check if qmail would restart
clean with its current configuration.
I knwo it seems related to the msglog user from
Bruce latest RPM patch, but it used to work fine.
The msglog function was and is still disabled.
You'll find below an error mail, a mailog output
with the server's qmail-showctl. Sorry for the
bytes waste.
Please give me any advice as everything I tried
didn't work, and I'm still new as a qmail admin.
