morercpthosts is not parsed at all, of course. qmail-smtpd opens the
morercpthosts.cdb file, and uses it, if necessary, directly from the
disk. I'm guessing that's the point: to keep large rcpthosts lists
from turning qmail-smtpd into a memory hog.
