I've got a newly installed Qmail-1.03 system which is failing to deliver
some mail that I can't explain. These addresses are now been sitting in the
queue for several days and all I see logged is:

deferral: Connected_to_x.y.z.w_but_connection_died._(#4.4.2)/

Obviously some of these are just what they say - but the numbers don't match
up. Hotmail addresses show up a lot in these addresses. What happens is our
qmail-remote connects for 1-5 minutes and then drops the link. However other
hotmail mail goes streaming through. I wouldn't be concerned except that
there are now messages to hotmail in our queue for several days - I just
can't make any sense of it (the messages aren't huge [all < 100K]).

So, is there something like recordio I can use to see the entire _outgoing_
SMTP transaction? recordio doesn't appear to work on outgoing connections...
