Have you checked that SpamAssassin is working correctly? What happens when you call spamc on an email? If spamc doesn't return correct data (due to spamd being down, or the size issue you are focusing on), then the "?/?" output is generated, so you need to find out why that is occurring Also, be aware that just increasing the size limit is not a good idea to do casually. Spamassassin uses a lot of CPU and RAM - and that increases according to the size of the message it is parsing.
