I have been using qmail scanner since version 1.25 am now on 2.08 Recently I started getting a lot of valid mails being quarantined but were in fact valid. Particularly from aol mail addresses.
In trying to resolve the issue I got someone with an aol account to mail both my normal address and my yahoo address so I could compare what was happening. Mails to my servers were being quarantined and he would receive the bounce while the mails to the yahoo address simply did not arrive. The bounces which he forwarded would arrive in both my yahoo account and through my server to my normal inbox without being quarantined. I couldnt accept that every mail from aol was invalid so I pursued the issue. I established that he was logging in to aol with IE8 and on a whim asked if he would try using Firefox instead. Mails now arrived at my yahoo account and did not trigger a quarantine event on my server but arrived. I thought this might be of interest on this list.
