As asked for, here are the current percentages of Qmail-Scanner usage
based on input from the nice people who sent reports through

Scanners:

clam: 70%
spamassassin: 67%
uvscan: 9%
fprot: 8%
sophos: 7%
hbed: 3%
trend: 2%
fsecure: 2%
avp: 2%
the_rest: <1%

Of these (and excluding Spamassassin), 79% of systems only used one
scanner (almost always clam), 6% had two scanners, 0.5% three. There
were a few systems with up to 5 scanners installed.

As far as OSes go, 84% Linux, 1% Solaris, and all the rest (15%) were
*BSD. No other OSes - which was interesting.
