I hope this is a simple question but I don't understand something.

I have a network copier with an onboard email client for a scan to email
gateway.

my qmail server handles this email differently than all others.

I assume that the network copier is using utf-8

outgoing mail from that coper is having its headers bruised so that they
look like this:

From: =?utf-8?Q?NTG=20Shipping=20Desk?= [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Sent: None
To: =?utf-8?Q?TAMI=20BAKER?=
Subject:

(in case the above word wraps the "From:" line above is all one line
with a space before the "[SMTP:")

my question is really simple, what is this, and why is this a problem,
I've never seen this before till last week.

the server is centos 4.4
