This maybe an easy one for veteran email administrators. This isn't an isolated incident, it happens with each email that has an attachment. Say I send an email to myself with an mp3 attachment. The log reports this:
Aug 16 11:22:22 mail.cmc.com qmail-scanner[10831]: Clear:RC:0 (10.5.4.46):SA:0(?/?): 4.422314 5468648 mtice @ cmc.com mtice @ cmc.com TEST2 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Track_1.mp3:4047616 1155748939.10842-0.mail:2 orig- mail115574893777610831:5468648 The attachment size is 4047616, but the total size is 5468648. What is the discrepancy? It seems that this "filler" is applied to each email with an attachment. Any ideas?
