Hmm, you say "antivir intercepts the viral mail and quarantines it". Do you mean the AV itself quarantines the virus instead of Qmail-Scanner??? Any antivirus being called by Qmail-Scanner is meant to be configured to *tell* Qmail-Scanner that it has found a virus - so Qmail-Scanner can quarantine the message.
