Hi All,

I am installing qmail-scanner on an existing server.

The machine is a Fedora Core 4 machine and has been running with qmail for about 2 months.

‘./configure’ v1.25 works fine, v2.00 and v2.01 do not detect Bitdefender antivirus nor Spamassassin.

I tried to check in the configure script where the problem was coming from and for ‘bdc’ it’s the line :
if [ "`setuidgid $QS_USER $dir/bdc --all --alev=10 --flev=10 --arc --mail $TMP_DIR 2>&1|egrep -i 'virus|test'`" != "" ]; then
which is causing it not to find it correctly.

What is ‘setuidgid’ ? this has been inserted since v2.00. I have deleted all references to ‘setuidgid $QS_USER’ and the configure script now works correctly.

I don’t think this should cause any problems but might need looking at for future releases.

Cheers
Paul
