Is it a normal behaviour of qmail-scanner that if an antivirus has a

Assuming this error is due to your memory settings being too low,
then yes it is expected behaviour.
No, the problem wasn't memory settings (that I increased after the
problem), but f-secure antivirus
that stopped to works properly and exit with an error code that
qmail-scanner doesn't recognize. For that I loose more and more
emails :-((
IMHO isn't a correct behaviour, because if I have more than one
antivirus, if one stops to work qmail-scanner should continue to
receive mails instead to stop to works.
I get wrong?
That's funny, because I can cause Trend's iscan to produce errors by
sending in a 150KB compressed file which, when expanded, blows out to
150MB. Even though iscan can't handle it and spits out an error,
qmail-scanner processes it anyway and sends it on regardless (actually,
I wouldn't mind quarantining mails that cause scanner errors).
I don't know how F-secure works with qmail-scanner, but I'm willing to
bet that F-secure, just like Trend Micro in my case, won't support
qmail-scanner. It sounds to me like there's some issue with F-secure
though, because if it worked before and doesn't now there's probably
something new in their update which breaks core functionality with
qmail-scanner. Realistically speaking, Trend Micro could do that to me
too with any update to their obsolete vscan command line tool and
scanning engine, but that's the risks we take before we use free
unsupported software.
