Again, it's not about Q-S being able to do it or not :)

...except that your idea involves patching Qmail - whereas my idea involves reconfiguring Qmail-Scanner - which is already being used. In fact turning on archiving could actually *reduce* load in operating Qmail-Scanner - as it doesn't need to do a delete action any more...
