I have a qmail server setup based on the qmailrocks.com intall, include qmail-scanner. I've also installed TMDA as a SPAM reduction tool. tmda-ofmipd is basically a bridge for the smtp service for outbound mail. It listens on port 8025 by default and incorporates some of the more advanced features of TMDA.

The issue that I'm having is that any outbound mail going through tmda-ofmipd on 8025 doesn't get scanned by qmail-scanner. It's as though it bypasses the queue altogether. However, if I just use the qmail smtp service then the outbound mail is getting scanned. I've looked at the tmda-ofmipd script and it looks as hands off the mail to the qmail sendmail replacement and bypasses the queue.

I'd like to be able to scan all outbound mail, even if it's through the tmda-ofmipd stmp bridge.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John Walter
