It's a small bug in clamav. It is fixed in CVS or you can change line 523 in libclamav/scanners.c to
if(!encrypted && size != zdirent.st_size) {from
if(size != zdirent.st_size) {and recompile.
Note: This works for me, while the CVS version appears to use a lot more memory. I am not part of the clamav team.
