Sorry there is no setuidgid on the system, i used su instead

su clamav -c "/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl -r"
perlscanner: reading from /var/spool/qmailscan/quarantine-attachments.db
...
perlscanner: total of 29 entries found.
No problem reading the db. I don't think it's a problem with rights.

I use many other installations arround (mainly 1.24st on debian 3.0 and a few
updated to debian 3.1), but this a complete new install on a fresh installed
sarge 3.1. Is also tried it with 1.24st bevor with the same negativ result.

First I though it's a perl-library-problem, but after investigating the code I
saw there is the same tie-call for reading the db (with -r) and opening in
the perlscanner =8-\

bye Josef
PS: Thanks for your great patch, anyway :-)
