Oh - I was totally unaware GenToo was packaging Qmail-Scanner (gee, thanks guys).
You will have to talk to them I'm afraid. As they have "packaged" Q-S, and apparently it isn't the same as the "real" Q-S - you will need to talk to them as to what is wrong.
