It seems that when an email comes in addressed to a user with <> around the address, ie.
To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> instead of
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], that qmail-scanner feeds the address to spamassassin with the brackets included. This of course creates a mismatch in the per-user database lookup and spamassassin falls back to the system defaults This results in something abnormal happening, at least from the users standpoint. Has anyone else run into this, or am I just configuring it incorrectly?
