We are using Qmail-Scanner to run Sophie 3.04rc2 and spamc 2.65. The system is Debian Linux running the 2.4.28 kernel on an ext3 filesystem. We process a pretty good bit of email daily, and these errors represent a very small portion of the total emails processed. Is this something I should worry about, or are these OK?
Cross-correlate those times against your standard Qmail logs - see what connections cause that and see if there is any kind of pattern.
I also use Linux servers (Redhat and Fedora), 2.4 and 2.6 kernel series and *never* see that error. Could it be only on large messages - implying memory limits being hit?
