Hello

redhat 9.0

Had Q-S 1.21 which worked fine for a long time, trying to update Q-s to
1.23 and getting this error:

./configure --archive no --notify none

[snip]

If that looks correct, I will now generate qmail-scanner-queue.pl
for your system...
Continue? ([Y]/N)
y
Testing suid nature of /usr/local/bin/perl...
Whoa - broken perl install found.
Cannot even run a simple script setuid

You will either have to correct this
or use the C-wrapper within the ./contrib dir

Error was:
Checking for setuid nature of perl install

What follows should be the UID of the qscand acount...

uid=511

Redhat hosts need to have perl-suidperl installed to get setuid support
See FAQ for further details

Hit RETURN to continue, Ctr-C to exit and fix:

-rws--x--x 2 root root 250132 Aug 13 2003 /usr/bin/suidperl

I have perl-setuid installed and Q-S 1.21 was working fine, after
using --skip-setuid-test I am getting these error in maillog

/var/spool/qmailscan/qmail-scanner-queue-version.txt - did you
initialise the system by running "qmail-scanner-queue.pl -z"? - Permission denied

not sure what to do, please help cause google gave me 0 answers...

Sincerely MA
