Ok, I have been working on this problem for 12 hours now. I am stumped. I am running the following: Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 Update 3 Qmail Scanner 1.23 Netqmail 1.05 Clamav 0.75.1 Perl 5.8.0-88.7 perl-suidperl 5.8.0-88.7
Up until last night I was running: Rhel 3 update 2 qmail scanner 1.22 clamav 0.70 perl 5.8.0-88.4 (I think) Now whenever I try and send mail using qmail-scanner I get the following error: 451 qq crashed (#4.3.0) It is only when I login to send mail, mail is still relayed just fine even when invoking qmail-scanner. And every once in awhile it will not crash and inject the mail. Although I cannot find the pattern in this. I have read the documentation and the faqs until my eyes are glazed over. Qmail-scanner is not producing any log file information. I am not sure this is even a qmail-scanner problem, but I unset the qmailqueue variable everything works just fine.
