Hi all,
I am having a few different problem using
qmail-scanner
+ clamav + spamassassin.
First I start with qmail-scanner 1.20
The problem I have is with CLAMAV I think here. I
can't not run clamdscan or I get errors in the smtpd
"qq error" so I am running clamscan that until maybe
three weeks ago was great know more and more It is
hanging with too many processes. Users are getting
timeouts from the server. When I look at the processes
with the "top" command I see clamscan in multi times.
I deal with the very slow response and start killing
the processes until the server returns to normal.
Two
I decided that I should upgrade the qmail-scanner
looks like spam quarantine has been add. (thank you!!)
but when trying the upgrade I am getting the Suid fail
message. I don't have suid but do have suidperl that
seems to work for the qmail-scanner ver 1.20 ok. After
playing with it I got it to work but just with
spamassassin can run clamscan or clamdscan.
Can anyone help with either method of the scanner I
need to stablize this system to many timeouts, hang up
with clamscan. We are a four letter domain and receive
a ton of spam that I believe might be causing our
problem.
