Hi all,

im trying to remove myself from receiving Virus Warnings, to do this is all i need to do is edit

/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl*

and edit,

my $NOTIFY_ADDRS='sender,admin';

changing it to

my $NOTIFY_ADDRS='sender';

This is correct. Although, you probably shouldnt have 'sender' there either as
the sender is never really who it says it is anyway these days. maybe
'psender' would be better but it depends what version of qmail-scanner you are
running.

I tried this the other day, and the entire machine ground to a halt. Lost ssh sessions and took a good hour to be able to re-establish a connection and revert to the previous config. Was able to reconnect bout 20% of the time without timeout before login. every other time would timeout in console :) so as you can imagine im trying to not go through the frantic hassles again, especially as box is other side of the planet :)

I have no idea why this happened, but it should not have been caused by the change you made. Perhaps you altered something else in the file which caused the problem? I've changed that line 2 or 3 times since i installed qmail-scanner and its worked fine each time.

Jim
