scanners_per_domain, this options allows to define a per user/domain
scanners_array, see the file scanners_per_domain.txt for details.
The match is done for the return-path first and for "each" recipient.
I will write some documentation as soon as possible...

Now, I have deployed the "scanners-per-domain" to a production level Server. But, notice that the Server Load has substantially increased.

In my case only 10% of the domains require scanning. So the default scanners array is not okay for me.

my @scanners_default=("clamscan_scanner","spamassassin","perlscan_scanner");

I have modified it as :

my @scanners_default=("");

Will it work? Also, I have put only those domains into the "scanners_per_domain.txt".

What it would do for the domains which are not listed into the "scanners_per_domain.txt". I have noticed that mails for these domains are also getting "dscr-hdrs-text". Is it meaning that the qmail-scanner-queue.pl has to process all the mails.

Hi

I think that you have do the right thing, I have not documented this feature but this is the way, if you give an empty scanners_default array, mails for doamins not listed in scanners_per_domain.txt pass through all the qmail-scanner subroutines except the scanners routines.

Maybe I could optimize a bit that routine, but I don't think I could do it before the end of the month. Anyway, once qmail-scanner gets a mail form qmail-smtpd it has to run some routines, and the "working_copy" routine is slow.

Cheers

Salvatore

Dear Salvatore,

I have reverted back to my old config of v1.16 with per-domain + quarantine patches.

I would again wait for your modified version.

Can you do something that immediately exits control from qmail-scanner in case of no matches which should be default (in my opinion).

Thanks.
