We've had the same problem as well.. I have yet to determine what is causing it. It doesn't appear to have popped up until we started using qmail-scanner, so I initially thought that the problem may lie there... I have not found anything to prove this either way ... I'm unsure where these are sourcing, but they are definitely an annoyance... > I can: > - receive this mail with the MacOSX included Mail-Program > - receive this mail using telnet to port 110 of the server > - receive this mail using some perl based Web-Mail software Squirrelmail, Evolution, and Thunderbird don't seem to have a problem receiving these mails either. > I cant: > - receive this mail with outlook 2000 > - receive this mail with outlook express 6 > ( and consequently all other mails in the mailbox will not be > downloaded to the client ) > > Is such a mail valid ? The problem is determining validity ... I don't believe it's valid from an RFC perspective but many mailers have been written to just accept some missing information from mail and not create errors... > From my view, it might be the problem, the > "Message-ID" is incomplete. We previously used a windows based product that had a host of problems .... Moving to qmail was the best move we ever made... :) > Thank you for you Ideas. > Phil --------------------------- Jason 'XenoPhage' Frisvold Engine / Technology Programmer [EMAIL PROTECTED] RedHat Certified - RHCE # 803004140609871 MySQL Pro Certified - ID# 207171862 MySQL Core Certified - ID# 205982910 --------------------------- "Something mysterious is formed, born in the silent void.
