Bug. To be honest, I don't see why anyone would want to use quarantine.log. It only reports quarantined msgs, and (like qmail-queue.log) doesn't use any locking mechanisms, so there is a vague chance some records are overwritten. The "--log-details" via syslog is currently the only trustworthy one. And before anyone screams - yes - I didn't think that quarantine.log option through very well. It was implemented way back at the beginning, but Q-S has moved on from then. Frankly, only syslog and pipe output options (like multilog) are reliable - and Q-S doesn't support multilog (although I'm happy for someone to do the work of course). There's no way I want to see locking introduced to the logfiles - it's too unpredictable/OS-dependant (which is why DJB invented multilog of course) -- Cheers Jason Haar Information Security Manager, Trimble Navigation Ltd.
