This sounds very similar to the problem reported by Chris Hine on 2003-09-02, subject "MIME boundary problem with 1.20rc2"...
I have a few times encoutered problems with sending emails from Eudora on Mac that contain attachments. I use Eudora all the time and it's only just happened to me for the first time, although I have had another user report a similar issue.
I have an email I can not send via my mail server (FreeBSD, qmail, qmail-scanner 1.21), it reports the problem "Disallowed MIME boundary found in attachment - potential virus".

I think that it is fixed in 1.22
