<SNIP> > The question is: up whose tree should I be barking? Should I bark at > ClamAV and Sophos for not detecting viruses in this type of mails or > should I bark at the MIME decoder used by qmail-scanner, or yet > someone else? > It is not really a problem with the virus scanners. If qmail-scanner thinks the message is plain text it doesnt even call the virus scanners on the message itself. The way to solve this problem is either to turn on redundant scanning in qmail-scanner (as previously mentioned by someone else on the list) or you could set skip_text_msgs=0 in qmail-scanner-queue.pl which will run av scanners on all messages.
