I have a cron job that runs each night doing this, I guess if I would have
had some patience I would not have ended up reading so much code and sending
to the list.  Sorry 'bout that!

Run:  

qmail-scanner-queue.pl -z 

which will recreate qmail-scanner-queue-version.txt file and fix your
version numbers.
