If you read through some of the other info on that thread, you'll see the problem is sharutils is missing from your system, so when you compile Q-S, you don't get uudecode functionality. If you can install sharutils and recompile QS, you can enable skip text messages again and not be vulnerable to inline uudecoded attachments in txt messages.
