Here's a thought I have not seen expressed here previously.
Some anti-virus software uses the "@mm" string naming convention when a virus is
found which carries it's own smtp engine. I've not found a rigorous definition of
virus naming conventions, but given this observation - I think adding "@mm" to
the silent_viruses_array could be helpful in qmail-scanner when "notifying senders"
is enabled. This action is sensible if you think that active viruses that have their
own smtp engine are also viruses that originate messages with constructed
(or harvested) "From": addresses. Doing this will likely reduce the collateral damage
to innocent mail users out there when new viruses appear before the administrator's
ability to update the silent viruses array.
