Hi all! I'm running a RH9 server and just upgraded from QS 1.16 to QS 1.20. Actually, I first upgraded my F-Secure fsav from 4.50 to 4.52 build 2461 and somehow broke my scanner. So... I upgraded QS to 1.20. Still no good.
QS install was problem free: Re-used my 1.16 configure options doing the ./configure <options>-thingie.
F-secure was recognized. The new qmail-scanner.pl could suid as before. (That's what the test said...) Mod'ing the actual call to fsav in QS to touch a tmp file showed it to be running as user qscand/nofiles. User qscand owns all /var/spool/qmailscan/ files.
Running fsav by hand works great. Running the ./contrib/test_installation.sh worked perfectly. Running the command line that QS attempted (and failed) succeeded when done by hand. (See the log clipping below.
For now, I've got spam filtering on, but have had to disable f-secure scanning until this is resolved. Help!
