I have ClamAV installed but it won't work with Q-S for some reason. I am running Qmail-Toaster1.0 (stable)/ ClamAV-0.65/TNEF-1.0.4/qmail-scanner-1.20. Q-S sees Clamuko and even configures for it but when I send email either from or to the server it never gets to the server like it's acting as a firewall. I reconfigure Q-S with spamassassin/TNEF and it works fine. I have ran ClamAV in the past on older email servers with no problems. Maybe this one has version compatibility problems. In any case, I figured if I could tell Q-S to look for specific body criteria I could get away without it.

Hello,

I'm new to qmail-scanner and have a question about configuring
quarantine-attachments.txt. I have added extensions for the MyDoom
virus and it filters most out but some don't have extensions. Is there
a way to check the body of the email to filter them all or do I need to
configure this somewhere else? I see that I can do subject and header
checks but don't see anything for the body. I am running this with
qmail-toaster/TNEF and it works great. Awesome piece of software by the
way :)

Why don't you bite the bullet and install ClamAV?

http://www.clamav.net/

It's detected by qmail-scanner as clamuko. (it's not REALLY clamuko -
clamuko refers to special functionality in ClamAV that is NOT enabled
by default. But it does work.)

This way, if you setup your server to update your definitions every
hour or so, you'll always catch the new viruses - sometimes before the
commercial scanners!
