after getting the qs2mrtg running I have some questions:
1) Is it possible to choose another syslog facility as "mail"? On FreeBSD4.8 the output
of the qmail-scanner ends up in /var/log/mail. So I had to adapt the qs2mrtg.pl because it
was expecting the output of QS to be found in "messages".
2) how to interpret the mrtg "mail flow" plot:
So blue is inbound mails and green is outbound mails, right? But the what qualifies as a
message. Only successful deliveries or also delivery attempts stuck in the outgoing queue?
3) how to interpret the mrtg "virus" plot:
quarantine events are the sum of found virii by an external scanner and perlscanner
matching tags Virus-* in quarantine-attachments.txt, right? Or are mails that were
quarantined due to potentially harmful file extensions like "*.pif" also added to the
quarantine events?
4) how to interpret the mrtg "spam" plot: Is only spam tagged by spamassassin added to the spam counter?
