export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
works fine for me.
Hope it helps.

did anyone ever come up with a good way to install qmail-scanner with mcafee uvscan on redhat 9?
I know to get uvscan to run, you have to do the LD_PRELOAD=/lib/libc.so.6
but then you get errors while trying to run ./configure to install qmail-scanner
is there a better "hack" that would only do the LD_PRELOAD=/lib/libc.so.6 when uvscan is run,
but be normal the rest of the time?
