After some trial and error trying to make various other components of the qmail system do what I want, I figured I'd try qmail-scanner.
Here's the scoop: I'm currently running qmail, qmail-scanner & spamassassin to filter and mark mail. Everything works beautifully.
As of late, I've been wanting to automatically harvest IPs from mails deemed to be spam by spamassassin. I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions as to how I might get qmail-scanner to dump any given email marked as spam (with X-Spam-Status headers intact) into a directory (the directory would be periodically scanned by a cronjob and IP's gathered with relaydb) while still passing the email on to the user....with the possibility of an email being cc'd to my admin account to verify I'm not getting a false positive.
I tried using a modified email_quarantine_report routine in the script to do this. Unfortunately, it's not quite behaving the way I want, and I realize I'm in over my head (my perl skills are beginner level at best and reading through the source is slow-going).
I'll probably figure it out eventually, but does anyone have any helpful tips on how I might do this? Maybe there is an easier way....
Thanks
