I'm using qmail-scanner-1.20rc3+uvscan-4.2.40+spamassassin-2.60 and I'm having a few issues with it, so far.
First I noticed that mails that are sent through qmail-inject (namely using test_installation.sh) are being perfectly scanned with everyhing being well detected. However, mails being sent through the smtp daemon are reported as scanned (I get the header changed) but the virus and/or spam are not being detected.
Another thing that happened was that I had do use configure with "--fix-mime no" because if I didn't (almost) all mail was blocked due to "disallowed breakage" (even when I ran test_installation.sh)
I have the QMAILQUEUE var set in 2 places right now: /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run and /var/qmail/control/tcp.smtp(.cdb)
In my qmail-queue.log all mails are reported as scanned and headers changed, but things (virus/spam) are only detected if they are sent locally.
I've been at this for 2 days now, looked in a lot of places, and I've seen other people with the same problem in this mailing list, and no answer.. Hoping I have more luck, otherwise I'm just going to reinstall everything (including qmail) and pray for the best.
Ah yes, I'm testing this solution to use as a mail relay inside our LAN as a frontend to our "real" mailserver.
TIA, Ricardo Oliveira
