So, is your > smtp-current log actually clean of perl-compilation-aborted and > out-of-memory entrys? ok, I ran the test_installation script and I checked the following logs: /var/log/qmail/current which showed that everything went through just fine, /var/log/qmail/smtpd/current which showed the same. Neither had anything about memory problems. I checked my spam account and it told me it found viruses in messages 2 and three... which is the perfect result. Now, I checked a little deeper into those logs and found that when the script was being evoked for scanning I got an error: X-Qmail-Scanner-1.16 email cannot open /var/spool/qmailscan/qmail-scanner-queue-version.txt - did you initialize the system... blah blah blah. :-) does that file need to be owned by qmailq or root?
