apply this patch http://www.qmail.org/qmail-smtpd-viruscan-1.1.patch and let qmail handle it for you... you'll have basically no overhead from it.
users should not send executable content via email anyhow. zip/tar em up

Can you verify which attachment types this patch blocks?? I want to make sure that it only blocks exes. I currently need office, adobe file types to go through. What about pifs?
