Hi!
I'm trying to get RAV to work with qmail-scanner and I've bashed my head to
the wall for some times now... I could need some help :-)

The perl-scanner itself works fine, and I could send mail to and from the
server. When the scanner then invokes RAV, it checks for the exit code to
decide whether it should scan for the string "Infected: " or not. This exit
code should be 1 if everything was scanned and found OK, and 2 if a virus
was found.
If I run the very same command as qmail-scanner, I get the expected exit
codes. But according to qmail-queue.log, RAV only returns 0 as an exitcode.
This way everything works, but if RAV finds a virus, it just get passed
trough.

qmail-scanner should have 15MB of RAM to play with, and I tried to raise
this limit to 150MB for a while, with no change.
I could run RAV as the qmailq-user, and the scanner seems to be run OK when
i check the debug-file.
I think that I had the same problem with a previous version of qmail-scanner
to. On that installation I used uvscan from Network Associates.
I use Debian 3.0 and I've installed the perl-suid package to get the scanner
to work.

Is there anyone else that has encountered the same problem?

        / Jonas
