I was finally able to get the QMAILQUEUE and QS_SPAMASSASSIN environments to be
set. Now I'm having a new problem. Performing the test_installation.sh -doit,
it shows that qmail-scanner-queue.pl is working properly and catching the virus
(eicar specifically).

Now, taking that particular string and mailling to myself in the email body, as
an attachment, and as both, qmail-scanner doesn't catch it. However, if I turn
Norton back on, it catches both right away, so I know the eicar test string is
properly formed. Norton finds it as the Eicar virus.

Also, it is scanning my email as well because:

1. I have it calling spamc and its marking messages as spam currently and

2. It is adding itself to the headers:
    Received: (qmail 3350 invoked by uid 85); 30 May 2003 14:47:07 -0000
from [EMAIL PROTECTED] by fbsd.cykotix.com by uid 82 with qmail-scanner-
  1.16 (spamassassin: 2.55. Clear:SA:0(-0.4/5.0):. Processed in 3.993701
    secs); 30 May 2003 14:47:07 -0000
    from webmail.uc.edu (129.137.2.128) by cykotix.com with SMTP; 30 May 2003
    14:47:02 -0000
(from [EMAIL PROTECTED]) by webmail.uc.edu (8.11.6/8.11.6) id h4UExgm14766
    for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Fri, 30 May 2003 10:59:42 -0400

So does anyone know what the deal is and why it isn't catching the manual Eicar
test? I am using qmail-1.03, smtp-auth patch, qmailqueue.patch,
spamassassin-2.55 (with mysql), and vpopmail 5.3.8.

Thanks for any suggestion.
