Trying to be on-topic: I use qmail-scanner 1.16 + SpamAssassin 2.50 + ClamAV 0.54 + vpopmail 5.3.12 + courier-IMAP 1.7.0 + maildrop 1.5.2 Qmail-Scanner calls SpamAssassin, which detects any spam and adds the X-Spam-Status header. Right now I am using maildrop to move such spam to an IMAP-subfolder, in my example called ".Spam". I "feel" that it is overkill using maildrop only to move the spam mail, am I right? Everything works fine, but there is one doubt about: Qmail-Scanner calls ClamAV to detect virus, and if found, it is moved to the quarantine folder. I am aware that spam is of "subjective" nature, and should not be moved or deleted unconditionally. But can/should this be done (moving spam to a specified folder) by Qmail-Scanner? Qmail-Scanners task is only to invoke SpamAssassin, is that right? Is my approach correct (using both Qmail-Scanner and maildrop to detect and move a spam mail), or any alternative (less resource-intensive) solution?
