I would like some professional advice on how the qmail-scanner logs and upgrades work. Here are some system details, first:
RedHat 7.3
Qmail 1.0.3
Clamav 5.3 - spamd
Spamassassin 2.3.1
Qmail-scanner 1.1.3
1. The system has been running for about 4 months and my /var partition is full. One thing I noticed is that my qmail-scanner log is about 150MB. I intend to repartition my disk to allocate more space to /var, but in the short term, is there anything I can do with the qmail-scanner log to free some space? Is it safe to just delete the log? Is there some kind of log rotation utility that I can use going forward? Ultimately, I want to keep the log from growing without bounds.
2. I (thought I) installed qmail-scanner 1.1.5, at least I ran the configuration and installation scripts. When I look at my qmail-scanner-queue.pl, it still says qmail-scanner 1.1.3. Are there more complete upgrade instructions that I can review so I can make sure I get it right?
3. Is there an official list archive for this list? I found lots of stuff on Google, but nothing I thought I trusted.
