Subject: RE: [Qmail-scanner-general]Install ProblemThanks but that didn't work. I did get it to work though. I removed the /usr/lib/perl5 dir then symlinked it to /usr/local/lib/perl5 now qmailscanner is happy. I have to admit perl is completely baffling to me. Where all these perl dir come from also is a mystery. I don't program in perl. I use a straight RedHat 7.2 install. Why it's littering my system with perl dirs is beyond me.-----Original Message-----

Subject: RE: [Qmail-scanner-general]Install ProblemCheck the permissions of /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux/Time. You probably had your umask set to 0027 when you did the install, so just change the permissions of that dir.Regards,Tren-----Original Message-----

Subject: RE: [Qmail-scanner-general]Install ProblemHello All;
I'm really hoping some pearl expert out there can tell me why this is happening. I've looked at pearl.org and the answer there makes no sense to me. I don't see where qmailscanner is getting it's include list. Again I symlinked the directorys but qmailscanner is still not happy. Now I'm nor sure why I have so many perl dirs. I would like to tell qmailscanner where this file is or which perl to use.
Please Help!!

Subject: [Qmail-scanner-general]Install Problem
Hi All;
I'm having a problem installing qmail-scanner-1.14
I get the following running ./configure --install
Hit RETURN to create initial directory structure under /var/spool/qmailscan,
and install qmail-scanner-queue.pl under /var/qmail/bin:
Can't locate Time/HiRes.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl) at /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl line 235.BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl line 235.
I have install Time::HiRes with CPAN but it put it in /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i686-linux
I created a dir in 5.6.1 i386-linux and symlinked Time to it but it is still not happy. Can I change the @INC and how do I do this?Thanks
Willie

You do
understand that qmailscanner uses perl, right? Perl comes with RedHat and
frankly without it, you wouldn't be able to use
qmailscanner.
