Hello,
We currently use sendmail and are looking into moving into qmail. We currently use amavis virus scanner (uvscan) and Spamassassin. The only problem that I can see with qmail-scanner is per-user config. Is spamc executed as the user receiving the email or as root/other user? The reason I ask is that we currently have per-user config via a MySQL server. We currently start spamc with “-dxq -F 0” the –q executes a sql command based on the username that spamc executes as. This way users can set the level of spam filtering they want and also set per-user white list. Can qmail-scanner do this?
One other question I have is about Quarantining. Can mail be Quarantined to a per-user directory? For example put the “dirty” message in a folder like /home/tonyb/Dirty-Maildir.
Thanks for the help in advance.
