For those of you that are curious, Greg Wildman was absolutely correct, I
had to install the perl-suidperl RPM that's new as of Redhat 7.3.  Once
that was done, the installation works, however, the test script still did
not function.
I ended up testing by sending a normal email and checking the header for
the qmail-scanner indications.  Then I downloaded eicar.com and attempted
to send it.  The scanner is working just as expected.
I'm not sure what could have changed in the test script, or in anything
else for that matter, but something just isn't happening.
The mail server and scanner are both working fine now, so I'm not
concerned, but I thought someone might want to figure out why the test
script isn't working and that the details might help some other folks that
wind up in the same situation.
