Hi All, I have a recent install of patched qmail 1.03 (with vpopmail)/QS 1.12/Sophos AV/Spamassassin 2.20 running on a freebsd 4.5 machine. It's been running fine, everything seems to work - virus mail gets filtered, spam gets tagged, and everything is happy.
I am suddenly having a problem, though - it may be QS or it may be spam assassin/sophos sweep. Some few emails going through the system are getting their rcpt to headers altered! I know this because I am the default recipient on my domains - I get the misaddressed mails etc. I'm starting to get emails that are obviously intended for others on my system, but the rcpt to header is getting altered and the mail ends up in my box as a unrecognized address. Here's an example: ___ Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: jpt [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: (qmail 35969 invoked by uid 85); 27 May 2002 18:04:15 -0000 Received: from [EMAIL PROTECTED] by dns.smashtv.com by uid 85 with qmail-scanner-1.12 (sweep: 2.10/3.57. spamassassin: 2.20. . But it ended up in my mail box with the delivered to line of: Delivered-To: jpt [EMAIL PROTECTED] somehow this header got seriously munged??? This isn't happening all of the time, but in the last few days I've gotten about 4 or 5 of these. Any ideas?
