Likely a connection to a tile server. Check for saved tile configuration in Layer --> Data Source Manager under different tile services. Delete the ones you don't use.

I often find it is easier to just create a new profile (Settings --> User Profiles --> New Profile.. and get a fresh start over instead of hunting down the cause.
