Hi Stewart,

For Multi-User data editing I definitely recommend using PostgreSQL (the server should be in the same LAN than the clients editing). Geopackage isn't designed for multi-user editing. Two users using Geopackage "read only" should work though.

The QGIS project can be stored in Geopackage or PostgreSQL, but is normally a separate file (.qgz or .qgs). The project file doesn't store the geodata but only the references to the files, databases or web services as well as any configuration and styling.

Hope this helps,

Andreas

Can I have two users, each on their own computer, access the same .QGS project file (as well as the same data on the municipal server)?

Is that what a GeoPackage is for? Or is Geopackage just for the data and not for the project file (QGS)?

Or do I use PostgreSQL?

Thanks.
Stewart
