I'm not sure if this is your problem, but there is a big issue when some remote
directories are defined and you're offline.
A simple solution is to right-click on the directory in the QGIS Browser and
disconnect it.
I often train new users in QGIS, and this problem has been recurring for at
least 2 years, which is very, very discouraging for them.
I'm almost certain that many of them give up trying to use QGIS because of this
issue.
It's a shame, and it would be great if this problem could be resolved.
Thank you,
Jean

Hello,
we are using QGIS 3.34.13 at work, and we are experiencing some issues with it.
On some PCs (not all), the program crashes as soon as we try to access the
local browser. I’ve already tried uninstalling all plugins and hiding all
browser connections, as I found these tips on GitHub. However, the problem
persists. Can anyone help me with this?
Best regards
